Buttery Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

This mashed potato recipe delivers all the classic comfort you love in mashed potatoes — and even more flavor. Made with heavy cream, butter, Parmesan cheese and fresh garlic, they’re so good, you’ll want to eat these buttery Parmesan mashed potatoes by the bowlful.

Buttery Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
3 pounds red potatoes, washed and cut into 1-inch chunks
5 garlic cloves, peeled
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup salted butter
½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
Kosher salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste

Method
Place a large pot of heavily salted water over high heat. Add potatoes and garlic cloves, and bring to a rolling boil. Boil until potatoes are fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes. Drain potatoes and garlic. Set aside. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream and butter until butter is fully melted into the cream. Pour over potatoes and mash until smooth. Stir in Parmesan cheese, taste and season with kosher salt and black pepper.
